WILLIAM CONTROL RETURNS TO UK IN MAY

William Control is returning to the UK for a run of 11 shows in support of his latest solo effort, “SilentiumAmoris”, in addition he will be playing at Download Festival next month, headlining the Red Bull Bedroom Jam stage on June 10.

The new record, “Silentium Amoris”, is a twelve-track journey about finding a voice in the rubble of a broken world. It is a stepping-stone in the development of a protagonist who is seeking revenge, melting together dark, cinematic themes with experimental synth pop sounds. Maintaining aggressive elements of the industrial dance sound, the LP infuses a new wave sensibility reminiscent of New Order, Bauhaus, Gary Numan, and Depeche Mode.

MEMBERS OF SEVENTH HARMONIC & SOL INVICTUS RELEASE ‘NO RED SEAS’ COMPILATION

noreadseas

Members of SEVENTH HARMONIC & SOL INVICTUS have produced and relased a new compilation featuring previously unreleased tracks from major artists in the dark ambient, neoclassical, industrial, neofolk and darkwave genres - the compilation is available to download from http://noredseas.bandcamp.com now.

Entitled NO RED SEAS, the album will raise funds for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (SSCS) helping their direct action campaigns to stop whaling, combat the mass slaughter of dolphins, and protect marine life around the world.

The 54-track compilation includes much exclusive new material, often produced specifically for this release, including:

  • a new piece by MERZBOW inspired by Sea Shepherd’s campaign against Japanese whale hunts

  • a first-time collaboration between PETER BJARGO (ARCANA) & MATT HOWDEN (SIEBEN)

  • a new and unreleased track by SOL INVICTUS

  • new unreleased tracks by HOYLAND, OSEWOUDT, RUKKANOR, STRYDWOLF, and WHILE ANGELS WATCH

  • new versions of tracks by APOPTOSE+JOY OF LIFE and TONY WAKEFORD

In addition it features brand new material by MONICA RICHARDS (FAITH AND THE MUSE), THEODOR BASTARD and MELANKOLIA.

Tracks have also been donated by major artists such as CINDYTALK, DAEMONIA NYMPHE, DESIDERII MARGINIS, LOELL DUINN, LOUISA JOHN-KROL, MOON FAR AWAY and SPIRITUAL FRONT.

A truly international line-up, artists from 20 different countries including Japan, Russia, the US, Australia, the UK, Scandinavia and all over Europe have donated tracks, representing a widespread abhorrence for brutal and unnecessary mass slaughters of whale and dolphins, and a desire to protect the oceans that transcends national and cultural boundaries.

The compilation was produced by Lesley Malone and Caroline Jago of SEVENTH HARMONIC and SOL INVICTUS. After putting out a call for contributions to their bandmates and other musician friends and associates, they were quickly inundated with offers of tracks from numerous artists wanting to support the cause. The album was ready to release less than a month after its initial inception, such was the enthusiastic and immediate response from fellow musicians.

NO RED SEAS is out noiw, and is available for download on a minimum donation basis exclusively from http://noredseas.bandcamp.com, with all proceeds going direct to SSCS.
